Healing Your Inner Emptiness
Holistic Health
What do you think causes you to feel empty inside? Is it the lack of other people in your life and what they're not necessarily doing, or that we haven't fulfilled a dream we've long had? When I was younger, I had no clue about what was vital that you me or how I was feeling. I had been taught to tend everyone around me and also learned to ignore my own inner voice. I had abandoned my own most important relationship ...my relationship with myself and I didn't know what it meant to love along with support 'me'.
Holistic Health
I've worked with many people who feel empty on the inside. They often think something can be missing in their lives and try to focus on life outside of on their own instead of looking inward. Generally, I hear: "I am angry because I don't have or perhaps get enough ... "
consideration
love
sex
money
approval from family
approval from friends
Does this sound familiar to you? Many of us make an effort to rely too much on other people or things to meet our needs and fulfill people vs. focusing on loving along with supporting ourselves and conference our own needs. This typically looks like blaming others (in addition to things) for where we are at in our lives.
my lifestyle would have meaning if I had a partner
I am stuck with this job (that doesn't fulfill me personally) because I have a family to feed
she took the only man I've ever loved, or the only job I have ever wanted
my partner will not likely marry me, ...he won't provide me with enough activation and I am bored
Life is monotonous, and nothing excites me
Do you hear yourself thinking these kind of thoughts, or reflecting cases like these to others? I certainly have, but realize that none of these excuses lead to inner emptiness. People who experience empty inside generally expertise themselves as flawed. There is a core wounding and worthiness issue that stems from programmed beliefs about who we're. We lack a sense of worthwhile to have what we want. Typically, our unnecessary fears and hostility from others trigger us to come to conclusions like, "there is something seriously wrong beside me. ...I am not enough". We're bad, inadequate, selfish, unlovable, un-important ...always wrong. Our wounded self operates coming from a core of shame and it is a powerful force.
Negative thoughts and also unconscious core beliefs cause people to engage in unhealthy activities and behaviors. People make use of processes or substances as an addict who's attempting to fill a large dark and unfilled well. We cause our emptiness through our own self-judgement. Many of us abandon ourselves through mind-numbing our feelings or dismissing our need to eat, sleep and even go to the bathroom by staying in the head and ignoring that which you feel. When we believe we are really not good enough we'll turn each of our focus outside of ourselves and try and make other people responsible for adoring and supporting us. We seek attention through what we should wear, caretaking, niceness, over-talking or story-telling. We make use of sex to feel okay with ourselves but turn out feeling more empty.
What exactly are some things you do that distract you being present to who you are along with what's best for you? Have you ever identified yourself using unhealthy habits that have become a bad habit? Course of action activities like anger, blame, over-shopping, over-spending, over-working, over-eating, over-exercising, video games, email, gambling, internet, phone, or watching too much television set? What about substances like: foodstuff, sugar, alcohol, cigarettes or even drugs? While these may work for some in the minute, it won't be long before the pain associated with separation is back. The problem wonderful these choices is that they only address the symptom of internal emptiness and not the underlying cause. They are not healthy solutions.
As an grown-up, its important to separate your self from negative projections out of your past that have no true basis in what's true for you today. Take your own power back! ...don't let remnants of negative energy (through others) run your life.
Internal emptiness is caused by a deficiency of connection to the love you experience inside and to spirit.
What is actually missing is the love arriving through us and lengthy forgotten passions that give us a sense of purpose in the world. Inner emptiness is caused by self-abandonment rather than caring for, nor loving ourselves enough. It is not caused by everything or anyone outside of people. The only thing that truly fills the particular emptiness is Love for your self, for others and towards something which gives you a sense of passion along with a higher purpose in your life. These days you are in charge of your joy and your destiny. Happy, people have learned to meet their own wants and to make themselves important.
